- Bio:
Milton Achelpohl is an interdisciplinary scholar whose work focuses on developing theory that critically engages with and interrogates the construction, development, and maintenance of whiteness, manhood and masculinity in the United States Context. His work explores the need to look to other theoretical and intellectual traditions, namely Black Feminist Theory, in order to approach theorizing white manhood and masculinity with radical methodological, epistemological and ontological interventions.
Watch a brief clip in which Milton discusses his work "Making White Manhood — Anti-Blackness and the Founding of a Nation", including its relevance to understanding anti-Blackness today.
